Hymn for the Weekend was released in February 2016 as Coldplay’s second single from their album A Head Full Of Dreams. It features Beyonce on vocals although she was uncredited. It was a relatively slow burner, peaking at Number 6 in its sixth week on sale. It stayed in the Top 10 for just four weeks, but spent 49 weeks on the chart altogether.
It sold its millionth copy in around February 2017.
In September 2017 sales were confirmed as 1.135 million including just 285,000 downloads, which is quite a low download sales figure for a million seller.
